We have lived on this 7 acres since 1991 We love our little farm.In 2006 Dick will retire from DSU maintenance dept. and be home to enjoy the farm

IT 2011 Dick retired and its great having him home-- He bought a barn and moved it to the farm and is still working on it. he poured cement in 2 of my hen houses and its great.We have built 3 more fly pens for birds. Dick is trying bee's agin this year -hopping for a good crop of honey.How ever he has been stunk many times now and learning alot about bee behaver.
Have sold and traded many ducks this summer of 2009 and meet lots of new friends. Especially the 4H children are such a joy .

Thank You for all the beautiful and amazing animals that You have placed on this earth. Thank You for the animals that you have entrusted to my care. Thank You for all the blessings and joy and wonderment that they have brought into my life. Keep me ever mindful that they are gifts from You and that they belong to You—and not to me.
Lord, there are animals in this world that are suffering. They are hungry, starving, thirsty, over-worked, beaten, enduring great pain, and dying. Please be with them! Take the pain away. Make them not feel the pangs of starvation. Take away the hurt inflicted by abuse and neglect. Send Your angels to guard and protect them. If they are dying, please have mercy and make their flight from their failing bodies quick and painless.
Lord, you have given mankind such a huge responsibility as care takers of these precious beings. Please give us the wisdom, the compassion and empathy, and the means to care for them and treat them humanely. Please forgive us when we fail them. Please help us to remember that these animals sustain us—without them, we would not survive.
